This is a portfolio blog for the graphic design and illustration of Richard Monk.

I am a Brighton based Graphic Designer, currently working full time in-studio for Team Rocket where I handle all major online promotion and design projects.

You may also find me co-promoting Square Roots clubnight in Brighton, as well as formerly Net-Lab and BoomBam. I work on a large number of flyer / poster designs for Square Roots, as well as their internal branding and cover art for Square Records (sister label).

Online you might also know me from blogging on, and managing Net-Lab, a unique internet based record label promoting the growth of free electronic music in the UK.

I am seeking genuinely interesting design and illustration projects to work on during my spare time. If you have a poster, flyer, booklet or website and think it might fit - please write me an email all about it.

• Basic understanding of PHP/MySQL - enough to customise an open-source CMS enough
• Good understanding of the process involved in customising Joomla and Wordpress blog/cms platforms
• I am also a good writer, and am proficient at reducing lengthly corporate prose into solid, inspiring statements.
